i was wondering if anybody here has swapped a pre
95 manual T-case out of an old model explorer into
a late model. i was thinkning about doing this with
my 96, but im not sure if it will work. im sure i
could make it work but im not gonna do it unless its
a bolt in job, i know that all year explorers came with
the same BW transfer case, so i wont need to get an
adapter. my second question is totally
unrelated. i also wanted to know how to rig up my
lights from the roof rack. what power source should i
run them to? are the wires supplied long enough to
get to a suitable power source? any info you have on
either one of these topics would be greatly appreciated.
thanks.

From WhatI know about the New model Explorer and the old model and having a Manual T-case. You will need the t-case and the Front drive shaft from a 91-94. Also if you Tranny is an auto tranny I dont know if you Transmission has a spot to bolt on the shift linkages, Since the linkages bolt to the side of the Trans. If you have a manual trans you sould have a spot for it to bolt to.

anybody else have any ideas?
