Back in the day when I had my explorer, I had them. My explorer was Dark green. I thought they looked really good. I think it all depends on the color of the X.

Covers are illegal in most states, but as with anything unless the cops are ball busters you'll be fine.

I like the slotted rear ones better. The black covers stand out too much.

tint them!

I agree, tinting your tails would look good I'm sure...

i just did homemade tail and maker light covers....i went to a sign shop n got some scrap perforated sticker materal....will have pics to post as soon as i figure it out

I've got some metal bar ones. I think they look pretty good.

I have some black metal Polar Bear ones, i think they look pretty good. Only downsides are you have to drill to fit they and them must be removed every time you need to change a bulb.

WHY ???

Anything that lowers the visibility of the lights, front or back of a motor
vehicle in any way, shape or form, is ILLEGAL in every state.

Brush guards would then have to be illegal, because they could lower the visability of the headlights.

delt with the smokies many times with lighting infractions....dont really care LOL
