Tail light gaurd questions?????

I want to get a pair of tail light gaurds for my 97 XLT. The question is, how much should I expect to pay for the ones that are black in color? Also, how do these attach? Do they attach to the liftgate or the actual lights themselves? I would think if they attached to the liftgate, that would look stupid when you open the trunk and I dont think they would be that strong on there. Thanks guys

they attach over the light and screw into the inside of the liftgate jamb... iam not sure on the pricing, but believe the tubular ones are like $150 a pair in chrome

If they attach on the light on the lift gate jamb.... wont it interfere with the liftgate working properly?

no it attaches on the jamb itself and doesnt interferre with the gate opening

You can find them on Ebay MUCH cheaper. I saw black tubular ones on there for $25.00.

I just looked and didn't find any. Keep looking they come from time to time.
