Great site...just joined and looking forward to getting the 93 Sport I recently bought in shape.

I could use some help on getting the tail lights working (brake lights work). I've been searching manuals and this site, but I must be overlooking something. Is it as simple as a fuse that I'm not seeing?

Thanks

The brake lights quit working on my '94 XLT, but luckily the solution was replacing the stoplamp switch. The stoplamp switch is located on the brake pedal. Another sign the stoplamp swich is bad is when you have the cruise control on going down the highway and you hit the brakes and the cruise control doesn't kick off. A new stoplamp switch was only ten bucks at O'Reiley's.

Hope this helps. :D

Also check out a Chilton manual, mine actually has a good diagram and discription on replacing the switch (actually on of the better descriptions listed in that waste of trees)

If you have the haynes manual there are actually 2 descriptions of how to replace the switch. One of them is pretty vague, the other is good. So look around the book a little.

He said the break lights work. I had to replace the switch when my break lights stopped working but the taillights worked.
