I have 2010 Explorer XLT with 63k miles. Others have noted that my tail lights have been staying on well after I turn the vehicle off. Maybe ten minutes or longer. It's hard for me to say since I haven't timed them since I normally just leave. Is there a relay someplace? I have the auto lamp control set to on. Any help would be appreciated.

Replace the brake light switch And make sure it's adjusted correctly when you are replacing it.

With auto lamp on, your running lights will stay on for a bit after you get out of the vehicle before they time out and turn themselves off. Since they are turning off I don't see a problem with it.
