I really wish they made tail lights like that for the 2nd gen. I'm working on making my own so we will see how they turn out ;)

ebay has a ton of those led tail lights...they are pretty expensive though:thumbsup:

Got the new taillights. Probably look better on a black Explorer, with the wide swath of Chrome, because the Mineral Grey isn't the greatest background, but I think they look great.
Went in easy, but check polarity before you tighten it up.

With the color of your truck I would tape off the clear and tint the red a bit with spray tint darken it a bit. Make it darker to more closely match your truck, well thats my style at least.

wow those are sweet now I really do have to get them do turn signals work good still they dont flash fast or anything do they? what do you by polarity they just plug right up right?

During the install, the plug for the LED goes into the light bulb receptacle. It can go in upside down--ergo, watch the polarity. So far the blink is the same as before, but I only tested it once.

Thanks for the suggestion WhiteLimited, but I personally don't like dark taillights. And, they are harder to see in the bright sun we normally have around here.

Those look really good! ...Much better IMHO than the ridiculous attempt at modern taillights that Ford tried to scare up... Ugh!

Your welcome, but with the LEDs you will have no problem seeing them through the tint :) I don't have LEDs yet and I still see it just fine haha. Just though I would share, if its not your style then its not your style :salute: Cheers!
