LED Tail lights

if u were interested in doing a large scale LED conversion with ur explorer, i changed out my interior dome lights with LEDs... the rear one above the rear hatch is an LED reverse bulb that i gutted to make the pos and neg wires hang out.. i put it in there snuggly and connected it to either end and its been bright ever since i had it... i had made my own LED board for the front and it worked for a long time with no problem.. i had 2 15,000mcd white 5mm LEDs with 2 resistors... idk what the resistors were rated for but they eventually faded and got fried and my LEDs failed to work anymore... i recently bought a plug and play LED board from pepboys that has different connectors to put them basically anywhere... i believe the brand is "pilot", which mite be some cheapo depot brand but its worked for me... its a board with 8 white LEDs thats adhesive on the back side and has a connector hanging out... u put the bulb-shaped plastic piece in where the stock light was and connect the connector from the LED board to it to get it some power... after that ur set for a while... this is a pic of the same existing rear light with my LED board up front

Seeing that you have the same gen Ex that I do, when the interior lights fade on and off, do the LEDs fade like the stock bulbs, or are they kinda jittery?
ebay has some very slick looking LED upgrade modules, direct drop in. I'd wanna talk to someone that actually had them before I got them tho.
