Will aftermarket Tail lights from a 1999 Ex fit a 1997 Ex? I am thinking so but want to make sure. A guy on Craigslist near me has a set for $40.

I bought new aftermarket tail lights and I have a 97. When I bought them they said they fit a 95, 96 or 97.

No they will not. The shape of the taillights changed in 1998. You need 1995-1997 taillights.

Dan is right. They are rounder and will stick out a bit past the tailgate. You can make them fit, but they are going to look horrendous.

Yep; yall are right. Met the guy and attempted to install them before buying and it was a no go. Thanks for the replies.

Instead of creating a new thread, I'll use this one if ya'll dont mind.
Can a 98+ lift gate and tails bolt-on the 95-97 models?

Yes but you then also have to to get the 98-01 taillights and wire the wiper in.
