OK. I must be having a senior moment because I don't get it. Looking at the picture the bottom of the seat is vertical and the back of the seat is now in the seat bottom position with the headrests folded up. What's the functionality?:confused:

Think drive in movie.. car facing backwards.. stereo on, sittingin the back looking out the tailgate. Sounds like a great feature to me.. i'd use it at least if the Ex had it.

OK. Thanks. I see what your saying but seems it would not be very comfortable sitting on a folded up headrest. Unless you unfold them and use as footrest. Although they are not very wide.

I have never seen these used but would assume that if you could remove the headrests, that you would have to sit with your legs crossed given the location of the bumper. I think a couple of folding lawn chairs would be more comfortable. Unless of course it was a 'spur of the moment' thing to use the seats.;)

Thats why Ford sells the bumper protector lol

I find the tailgate feature useless with those big headrests sticking out between your legs. It was much better in the 09 flex I had with the removable headrests because you could stick them between the seats as armrests an it's was pretty comfortable now it's a pain to get out with the headrest sticking straight up.
