Uh, you can and should test drive. I bought a new Pontiac Grand Am once that crapped the transmission on the test drive, with 64 miles on it. If you sign and drive, that's your baby. If it's a test drive, it's the dealers problem. I know that usually, a dealer will work with you if you decide to refuse an ordered vehicle if it's refused for cause. When I was younger, I worked at a nissan dealer and someone ordered a new Maxima. wasn't in stock, so we had to get one from another dealer. When it got to the dealer, the customer had found a better deal because they kept shopping, and wanted their deposit back ($1000). The manager refused, so they looked for other reasons, and finally settled on refusing it because it had equipment they didn't order (front license plate bracket) No charge option, btw. Manager still refused their refund, and they ended up losing their money. Still, dealer had to pay someone to drive 300 miles to another state to get the car, drive it back, prep it, and all...
