well i've searched and searched and searched more but i cant seem to find how people are putting on the "circulation type" engine heater. my father in law said it will help my ex when we get some low temps(-20ish lately) here in iowa and i was hoping someone here has a pic of how theres is setup.. he said i could tap into the heater core line but is this the correct way to do it i read the directions and they talk about a block plug. any help would be greatly appreciated because im lost and having to be to work at 3 am means i dont want to wake up an hour early so she's got alot of time to warm up,
Ed

No picts but the inline heater goes in the radiator hose. Cut the hose and install the heater inbetween where you cut the hose. The best are probably the block heaters which are put in place of one of the freeze plugs but its usually a PITA. Do a search here for engine heaters. There was a thread not to long ago about this very thing.

thanks for the info.... back to the search button i go!

I've been looking online as well and have found the same circulation-type block heaters. I don't believe they are the one you splice into the radiator hose.

He may of been talking about something like this: http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/Product/tf-Browse/s-10101/Pr-p_Product.CATENTRY_ID:2000837/p-2000837/N-111+10201+600001648/c-10101

I'm trying to figure out how it works as well.
