I had a not so fun weekend working eight hours yesterday and fourteen hours overtime. Starting having some chest pains and shortness of breathe yesterday but today I'm pretty damn sure I suffered a heart attack. Had horrible pains all day but on the way back to the yard I lost the use of my left arm, consatnt pain thru my chest, arm, shoulder blade, back and diaphragm. Barely made it the last mile to the yard but worked thru the pain and inability to breathe to unload my trailer. (It's not easy to operate and forklift with just your right arm).

I know I should go to the hospital but I think I beat it for the most part, still have some amount of pain and shortness of breathe but if it doesn't get better by tomorrow I will go to the hospital.

I did go to Med Express yesterday, they listened to my lungs and took ex-ray's but didn't see anything there (radiologist is on vacation and will take a look at them some time this week).

I'll get checked out soon because heart disease, attacks, cancer and diabetes run in my family.

Get yourself checked out man. You have kid now so you have to take care of yourself, at least until your kid can take care of his/herself (I can't recall if you have a girl or boy).

I know it's not an official license or anything, but in my scouting career I taught 4 years of emergency preparedness and first aid. I have a couple red cross certs. And have sat in on some EMT courses. Everything you described are signs of a heart attack, and possibly the clot being in the neck area (shoulder pains are the only indicator I can go by). They are easy (all relative) for a doctor to resolve, and shouldn't give you any lasting side affects. But you should really get it checked out. I could be very wrong, I'm no doctor, but that's what it sounds like to me.

I'm positive it's not diabetes or cancer! Rebel is to tough for that

Should have went to the ER. They'll shave your ****, stick buttons all over you and do it before you know what's happening. They don't put you in the back of the line when you go in holding your chest !!

Thanks guys. I'm feeling alot better today, woke up and only thing wrong was my left shoulder/ arm and around my upper chest was alittle numb. No shortness of breathe today or pains except when I twisted around I could definetly feel it in my chest. My left arm wasn't 100% fully functional with ease until around noon, stick kinda feels numb (dead weight numb, no tingly feeling).

I'll get an appointment scheduled to be checked out but kinda scared they might restrict my CDL if they do find anything, I can't afford to not work and the only other job type I'm qualified for is manual labor but that would be harder on my heart.

Kinda weird you bring up John, there's a lady that lives up the street from me that has a Limited Explorer exactly like John's, EF decal and all, I keep meaning to talk with her but always too busy to.

I'm working fourteen hour days now and straight thru the weekends so time off is not an option but I will find the time to get checked out. Oh and while I don't have Diabetes I am Hypoglycemic.

Everyone says I'm too young to have all the pains and problems I have but I tell them it's not the "year", it's the "mileage" and my odometers been turned over a couple times but I still keep going.

Jerry, get to the hospital, man... I know you're worried about losing CDL, but i agree with others, your life is more important now. and just think about this.. if you end up with a stroke, your wife would be taking care of 2 droolers.. that's a tough job..

Honestly when I read you lost the use of your left arm, my immediate thoughts were stroke! Dude, Heart Attack/Stroke is nothing compared to dead or worse.... drooling.

I've been ok since that day. I need to get an appointment scheduled though. I only lost use of my arm for a hour and a half, it was numb (kinda like dead weight feeling the next morning for a little while then all was back to normal).

I've been working but not doing the 14-16 hour days and weekends, I told work I can't do them anymore. I work 10-11 hour days now and that's fine with me. I still get plenty of overtime in my regular shedule (7-5 or 6) m-f.

I will get an appoinment as soon as one is available.
