Before May 15th I have plans to finish the BW 1354 Diary, Do a DVD on the A4LD Rebuild, hopefully maybe do a thread on the 4405 rebuild with some machine shop "fixes" and now I have amassed an entire 5R55 drivetrain to do a "Frantentranny 2" Diary of just the rebuild.... carrying Brain's project into everyday rebuilds....where it belongs....

His thread was so awesome, yet may have lost some folks because of the technical. I hope to just DO IT. And show ya how. So that's my plate for the next couple months.... let's see how I do.

Oh the 4R70W? When I can squeeze it in.... I have two ready to go. I could build em in a weekend....but..photo illustrated builds take 5x as long..and I am toying with a DVD on that rebuild too (makes it 20X as long)

Stay tuned to Explorerforum... some fun stuff coming up in this forum on the site!!

(Long term...I am also planning to do the first total tear down and rebuild on a FORD CVT online... when I can find one. Keep your eyes peeled guys !)

How would you like to rebuild my spare Mazda 5 speed :D ;)

Would these DVDs be separate ones, or are you going to put all of these transmissions on one DVD? Would these DVDs be sold, or available as a download (maybe in a torrent style type of download)? One thing this site is missing is a download section. It pretty much has everything else. We're still waiting for a TSB, and recall section. My suggestion for the tool section went through, so maybe we might have these too.

I can see it now, ftp.Exploreforum.com

Glacier991 - Did you sleeve the rear bearing bore and rebush the shift rail bore when you did the BW4405? My t-case just went out and I might end up rebuilding it myself cause reman'd ones are wicked expensive and I don't trust a used one. If you've already done this I'd love to hear your lessons learned.
