Hey everyone, still new to the forums, but i did notice everyone hating on us 1st gens who want to lower their X's.

Yes, I am wanting to lower it a couple inches.

What I am looking for is some sort of aftermarket body kit to install once lowered, something that would give it a more aggressive look and would be good for car shows. Would i need to do something custom? or is there a supplier out there with kits for us?

You want to lower your suspension, and lift your body??

I have no problem at all with lowered Explorers, but what you want to do, seems awfully strange. Maybe you could explain?

Don't feel bad Rick, I thought the same thing when I first saw it last night. It just now made sense to me.

Stillen makes a 'body kit' for the first Gen X....

I have NEW, NEVER MOUNTED, NEVER PAINTED side skirts that I will sell for 175 shipped (lower 48).

I would run them, but I am TOO LOW..

e-mail me spdrcer34@comcast.com if interested...I have pics

Are you two or four wheel drive?

Dan: it's a 4x4. which is going to be the one weird thing about having a lowered X.

There are others that have lowered their 91-94 4wd Explorers. It would just be much easier if it was a 2wd.

Search the Seriously Lowered Explorer sub forum in the Sport Truck forum. Yes it can be a little hard to navigate the site when new but there is a wealth of info & help available.

If i was you i would also consider changing the front end out to a swd suspension to eliminate the weight.

Also welcome, and where are you located? I still have a few front end parts left from my 93 Limited. I have most of it except the bumper. Good luck,

Don - what roof rack rails are those on your truck? They go the other way - not seen them before

Mine are like that above. My 98 Mountaineer has the better looking design, and I don't know if they will go on the 91-94's. Try to find these from the 98-01 models if you are going to change. Measure between the rails and the mounting holes. I'll check if I can remember to. Regards,
