Tellico run 08 is a no go!!! What are we gonna do????

I say you just weld the rear differential -- spider gears for the 8.8 are everywhere so its easy if you decide to go back. With a full spool, you have to set the ring and pinion all over again (but not with a mini-spool).

Ford 9"

I have a mini spool since i did my sas but was afraid to break the centershaft. Either way i would have to pull a third member so full is the way to go.

sweet. it actually looks like i can do this thing for like a grand. sweet.....

yeah i wanna go back to that sparta too. little bit pricier ticket though....

so has anyone started to figure real dates at all?

My vote is either late Sept or early Oct because of the c-c-c-cooold.
Trail fixes are difficult when you have to slosh through, or lay down on cold mud.

Yeah. I only say that because of some trail closures from jan - march and the summer im out for work. Cant shut down.

For real: Oct. 3 - 5

469 miles, it says i need 8 hours and 22 mins. i can prolly get thier in less than 7.

Oh ok.

Argh Mapquest says 585 miles -- 9 hours, 48 minutes for me. I'm aiming for more like 10 hrs and 30 mins, or probably more, with the Explorer in tow. But whatever, one day driving each way, not bad.

It might even be better to shoot south on I-95 and cut west from Durham/Raliegh, cauz I-81 is all mountain and is going to suck towing.

Ok im finally close to the wheeling spot. Only 162 miles according to mapquest.

I might have the chance to go and ride with a friend in a blazer on 42s. If i got ill take plenty of pics and report back on it. Not sure ill be going or not. Depending on work for them.

162 miles? Man thats like your back yard!

Yeah its craZy its so stinking close...............Gonna save some green ha ha

im farther than iz yet by a few hours.

Odd of me acually making it (with a vehicle to wheel) are slim but Ill try.

2210 miles 32 hours :cool::D

it's doable:thumbsup:

108 miles, mapquest says is should take 2 hours and 15 minutes thats enough time with a meal on the way.
