do a search for "blend door" in this forum section, plenty of info, solutions, tips, etc...

does anyone know which fuse is for the servo motor that operates the blend door. mine stopped working all at once, no warning at all. from what i have read in this forum the blend door makes noises before they quit working. also , what is the thing under the glove box with the vacuum line on it, when i have the control set to off and remove this vacuum line it makes a noise like a door closing and it has a rod on it.

That vacuum line is for the blend door. There is some threads on how to fully fix anything with the operation of the blend door. Even some quick 5 min fixer upper solutions. Keep searching, you will get it.

i am not going to cut a hole to fix the door. i also read that the door is controlled by a motor. so if i can hear the door open and close when i take the hose off and put it back on then why am i having the problem? i also only have vacuum to this hose in the off position on the control panel. this has to be a different door.

it was the blend door. i used the method where you drill a hole through the actuator and put a nail through it. works good for now. the door makes a little noise when it moves, so it will probably break sooner or later. i had to drill mine different than the one in the pics that show you how.

Awesome! See, I knew you could do it! This forum can help you with just about any problem you have or will come across in the future. Just keep on hitting that search button, it will get easier as time passes.

How much do you think you saved by using that search button & repairing it your self?

from what i have read it costs about 800.00 for the dealer to replace. it isnt good as new but it will do. if the door doesnt get stuck and break it should last a long time. now on to the next problem.
