Temp gauge help...

Yes, it is similar. A 198 thermostat would work, you lose a few degrees of buffer on a hot day or steep hills. I realize Portland isn't extremely hot in the summer.
Shoooooot....this summer we had a week straight of over 100 and the summer before almost two weeks straight. Now being from South Carolina originally I know that it isn't that bad.

However, I went ahead with the Motorad Ultra stat 198, it crossed with the OE motocraft part number. And a carquest temp sender.

Got them both in and the truck seems to be heating and cooling just fine while idling. I won't be able to drive it till I get the brakes and rotors done. Ordering the parts this week so hopefully in the next couple of weeks, I'll tackle that beast of a job.

Thanks again for answering all my redundant and irritating questions. Like I have said before I just want to make sure I am doing the right thing and not wasting money.

Thanks guys!!
