Don't waste your time on that crap. Just bank the money and wait until you can afford the real system you are planning to buy.

nah because i CAN NOT STAND listening to a factory system. i need atleast a little bit of bass hitting me in the back. im gonna put them in a bandpass box too.

I understand what you are saying, but I am 100% with Hartman. Save you dimes! It will be just that much faster that you can do your system.

I'm with them... I delt with my stock stuff for a little over 2 years... Then I just had to do something about it... I shopped and shopped and got great deals on everything... But no "no name" brand equipment in my rig...

I wouldn't buy them. I understand you are going to buy something regardless of what we suggest to save your money for, so here goes. I spent 3 years "collecting" sound equipment for my car. I say collecting because I bought them 1 peice at a time. I am on my third set of subs, and second box, with the third in the works. I have gone through 4 amps, 2 sets of 6x9's, and 2 components. I would have saved some money if I just saved up and bought it all at once, but I didn't know what I wanted, until I tried it. If you can hold out, do it, if not, don't buy those. That Legacy amp says 2400 Watts, but it doesn't say how. What ohms? RMS? It's probably 2400 peak, or 1200 peak per channel, meaning that if you are LUCKY at 2 ohms you will get 400-500 Watts RMS a side. As far as those subs go, there are no real specs about it. How many ohms does it accept the 1200 watts at? How big is the magnet? There's no specs as to what kind of box it will require. You can't just throw a pair of subs in a bandpass and expect them to sound good. The box needs to be tailor made for the subs. I wouldn't buy anything from that website. That is the internet home of 2 Ebay sellers. To me it looks like they buy their junk for super cheap, just to resell and make a huge profit because they didn't cost much to make. It's a good business for them, but there is no way I would ever buy from them. This is just my opinion, take it however you want.

alright thanks for the in input yall. i might just wait, or i might get them, i dunno yet.

my freind is trying to sell 2 JL Audio 15s in a box for 175, and then a 700 watt amp for 75. i think im probally gonna get that for now.

Take em! It would be better than buying that other stuff, I can almost guarantee it.

would that sight be alright to order a product from, if i know its a good product? they have the speakers i aktually want (kicker solo baric 15" L5) for the lowest price ive seen yet (200 a speaker, which is 150 less a speaker than most sights).

Get a credit card and put the money you have now towards the bill for your awesome new system!

Some stores will finance too, but it sounds like you want to buy from the net or something(?)

yea the nets had the best prices mostly...and i wanna do most of it myself.

i plan on spending a few years collecting parts as u say....this is just a temporary fix

Get the JLs, those other peices of trash are not worth your time.

INSANE 12" WOOFERS! 2400 WATTS TOTAL! PAIR!

2400 watts total for about .02 seconds, maybe.

FIRESTORM PRO SERIES
1200 WATTS EACH
12" SUBWOOFERS!
YOU GET A PAIR! (2 PC'S)

firestorm pro is right. when these catch on fire, you will have a nice firestorm.

HIGH FIDELITY PROFESSIONAL SERIES SUBWOOFER

professional series? you've got to be kidding.

NICKEL COATED DIE-CAST BASKET AND END PLATES

if it wasn't nickel coated, it'd be bare steel, and rust.

STRONTIUM CARBONATE FERRITE MEGA 200oz MAGNET

strontium carbonate is a weak magnet that doesn't hold it's magnetism well. 200 oz? maybe if you count the basket.

HIGHT TEMPERATURE COPPER WITE VOICE COIL

Hight? Wite? and you're still considering burning your money on this? There is no such thing as a "high temperature voice coil", unless they're saying it runs at a high temperature, which wouldn't be so great.

DOUBLE WALLED KAPTON FORMER

double walled...because we couldn't figure out how to make it strong enough the first time...

SUPER STRONG GAUSS VENTED MAGNET STRUCTURE

gauss vented? a gauss is a measurement of magentic field...so apparently, this is vented by the fact that it is a magnet. ugh...

HEAVY DUTY POLY COTTON FLAT SPIDER

poly cotton? why even put a spider in?

HIGH-STRENGTH ORGANIC FIBER CONE

aka paper.

HEAVY DUTY RUBBER SURROUND

as opposed to the light duty surround, for people that like them to rip.

EXTENDED VENTED POLE PIECE FOR MAXIMUM EXCURSION AND HEAT DISSIPATION

and if we didn't extend it, the sub wouldn't play.

SPECIAL GOLD PLATED TERMINAL

special? as in we didn't really plate it, just spray paint it gold? speaker terminals have no reason to be gold anyway, you get no intereference or connection problems at speaker level.

1200 WATTS OF POWER! (EACH WOOFER!) 2400 WATTS FOR THE PAIR!

yes, we can multiply here. we can also rip you off, on shipping, too! They don't even tell you the ohm load, the second most important spec. ugh...

2400 WATT 2-CH LEGACY AMP LA2070

NEW 2003 LEGACY SERIES 2 LINE!
2400 WATT 2-CH LEGACY AMP
BRAND NEW IN FACTORY SEALED CARTON
2 Channel Amplification

2 x 1200 Watts Output

1 x 2400 Watts Bridged Output

2400 Watts Total Output

They don't even bother to tell you how they measured the power output, peak or RMS. I'm guessing they took the power this sucker draws, doubled it, multiplied it by 14.4, rounded up, and called it the output.

Polished Chrome Finish w//Plexiglass Panel

money spent on plexiglass and chrome = money not spent on engineering. I'll let you figure out the rest.

Remote Control Bass Boost (0-+1808 @60Hz)

that doesn't even begin to make sense...? 0-+1808?

Fully Adjustable Electronic X-over Network

Fully adjustable, yet they tell you nothing about it.

Soft Turn On//Off Circuit

as opposed to the loud turn on?

2 Ohm Stereo Stable Bridgeable Into 4 Ohms

Stable for how long? 10 minutes, in a freezer?

MOSFET PWM Power Supplies

almost all regulated amps are regulated by MOSFETS. that's like saying "Buy this Ford Explorer. Powered by an internal combustion engine."

Variable Gain Control

never seen an amp without one.

Hi//Low Level Inputs

probably defined as a gain control.

Power On LED Indicator

gee, thanks for this.

LED Protection Indicator

protection from what? definatly not crappiness.

ugh. don't even waste your tme on this trashgar-bage.

LOL, nicely put...dude, dont buy this crap, it WILL sound like ****....

aLRIGHT YAL. I GET THE IDEA. IMMA GO WITH SOMETHING ELSE. VARIKING, THANKS, YOU BASICALLY FORCED THE IDEA INTO MY DUMB HEAD THAT IT ISNT WORTH IT

It does sound like you want to shop on the net for your system but you'd be surprised how much more you can save by going into a store, making an employee your friend by telling him you plan on buying a nice system, and saying things like "I see how much it costs, but what'll ya give me it for." It works and Dave saved me about 900 dollars on my recent system. Thanks dave.

or else spend time on the net getting to know the right people. i recently purchased my abc6003q components from a great guy i met on the internet originally. i got them for a lower price than etronics and he is an authorized dealer so i get a warranty- of coursse part of tht is because i agreed to put his sticker on my truck and get him publicity...

regardless- if you take your time and talk to the right people you can swing incredible deals. if you pm me or email i can point you in the right direction.

Umm if you listen to nothing else here...Listen to this

BY THE JL's!!! You wont be sorry. Even the lowest model JL's (W0's) hit like a fat girl playing dodgeball!! If you MUST get something now, get the JL's, and a decent inexpensive amp. IE (Punch 150) bridged mono(($149). I can guarantee you will NOT be dissastified.

Put it this way. Back in like 1997 I was running 2 JL Audio 10w1's, and a Punch 45.2, and hit 138db in a sound off. In case you didnt know 140db is the equivalent of standing right next to the stage speaker in a rock concert. It was certainly nothing comapred to todays systems putting out 140-150db's, but it was damn loud, and set off many a car alarm.

So in short order, skip the street trash, and go with something that WILL make a nice fill in, until the money starts rolling in.
