Yes, I think the whole thing about perceived speed and actual speed holds true. Even though we have the OHV V6 that puts out 160 hp, I think it feels like it launches really hard for such low numbers. I dont have a problem with this engine, I think it performs great.

all the components go into a fast car, its not just the engine, its aerodynamics, engine, the quality of parts they used. how the intake is set up. thats wierd though how the 430 is heavier with a smaller engine than the q45. whats the 0-60 times for each?

Yes, the silence is deafening when you suggest these guys actually come out and put their money where their mouths are! So they can just pop their Lenny Kravitz CDs into their Xterra's and go on their merry way...back to their own board...

Incidentally, my '01 Sport is quite fast with 3.73 LS - though not as fast as my '98 was with 4.10 open gearing <sniffle>. Regardless, I don't know what he was driving if his Xterra feels faster...?

I dont have the 1/4 times Jason, the 430 does 0-60 in 6.4 with the Q45 at 6.5. I do remember the 430 had a slightly quicker 1/4 too.

The Q45 should have a fairly large advantage.
