Ok, this is an early warning message.

The solid axle conversion is getting close to done. I'm missing a few brake components; everything else will be done this weekend.

I'm going down to hollister july 7th, and july 14th. On the 7th, it will mainly be to break the d44 4.88's in (driving around in 4low, slowly), some testing of the front ARB, and some flexing tests.

The 14th will be more flexing test day, along with other fun things. :)

Please note;I may have to cancel the 7th, due to lack of parts.

Who wants to join me?

Wish I was up there so I can make it. O well at least I get to see the recarnated beast a few weeks later. When I get back up to fresno we will have to do a run sometime up there.

Matt

An update:

It appears we have everything needed to complete the conversion! Yea!

I *will* be at Hollister this saturday, at the Ranger Station, at 10am.

At 10:30am, I'll be heading up to play some at the obstacle course.

Come on down and join me! Yes Jim, you don't have to ask, except don't bring a broken truck down.

Anyone and everyone is welcome.

I'm not planning on doing anything a stock 4x4 explorer can't do.

:D alright tom so it's for sure this saturday and the next saturday??? 10.00 am ranger station.and what channel will we be on. im ready:p

Do you guys think I should take off my neons under the car? Are there a lock of rocks/pebbles/gravel that could damage them or is it mostly dirt? This will be my first time to Hollister!!!! I'm EXCITED!!!:bounce:

just to be safe, I'd take them off.

As for the saturday after, I've been thinking about moving it up to the sierra's. hwy 4, has a few trails - slick rock, deer valley, and a few other's.

I'll be on hmm.. channel 8? yea, since that's the total inches of lift I have now. :)

Tom - The pictures look good. I went down there hoping to meet up with you guys but was late (came down at around 11:00 AM) and was caught in the hellish traffic of thousands of bikers coming into Hollister to celebrate 4th of July! I couldn't even move and had to turn back. It took me a half hour just to try to turn around. I have never seen that many motorcycles in one location like this before. It was kind of amusing watching some of these riders with really fancy and expensive bikes but barely able to ride or control the bikes.

hehehe.. I found out the same thing. Drove through about 9:30am, and it was mess then too.

Sorry to miss you.

I won't be wheeling this weekend. There's a few problems that need to be fixed before I take it back out..

And, when I do take it back out, I'm thinking about heading up hwy4, to bear valley area. I know of a few trails up there (sour grass, corral hollow, slickrock, and deer valley.)

Wow Tom, I like your truck! What do you have to say about the Superlift?? Pros/cons? Thanks bud.
