I was going to let this thread slip into the depths because started a new updated thread.
To answer your question though, yes. I've grown up in the 80's and computers have got better through out the years. Countless times I've seen, heard, and talked to people replacing computers in vehicles that solves the problem. Junk yards is where people go to get them the cheapest.
