So my X came with some wranglers I think and they say 30 x whatever but the seemed small so I measured them and they are actually barely 28 inches. Is that normal?
Usually the tires are about .25" to .50" smaller. Two things that come to mind that are related to your question are. How worn are the tires? The more air you have in the tires the larger they will be. So check your tire pressure as well.
my 35's on my bronco measure 33"
my 33's on my black explorer measure 31"
my 31's on my white explorer measure 29 inches.
it seems they are always about two inches shorter than they claim. ive measured different types and makes of tires and this always seems to be the case.
Hmm seems to be a good amount of tread left. I usually keep em at proper psi. Interesting though - 2 inches is quite a bit. Seems like you can just stamp whatever you want on the sidewall.
