I have been searching this message board and have seen at least 6 other people with what sounds like the exact same problem. The vehicle will not move when the shifter is in the overdrive posisition,, I had my truck up to speed and shifted into OD and then it worked, when I got to the stop sign and tried to take off again it was just like it was in neutral, i couldnt move, and I had a hard time getting it to take off again in first. I had to go back and fourth through the gears to finally get it to go. anyone figure out what the deal is?

Welcome to this forum! It could be a few things, such as a bent "Z" link, damaged manual slide valve, or the valve body bore where the manual valve slides in.
