Its kind of surreal to be posting in here with the intention that MY truck will actually have an axle under it... Considering when I met Rick 2 1/2 years ago I drooled over his truck and never imagined that mine would resemble anything like a capable wheeler... Slowly the build up begins though...

I should have Jefe's D30 in the next 2-4 weeks, as soon as his D44 is under his rig... Then I just have a few things left to get to get the swap moving...

This all started because I met someone at an X meet a while back and we started talking about a kit that he wants to build and that he's looking for a guinea pig truck... The more we talked the more willing I was to be the one... Then when my D35 blew wheeling about a month ago I talked to Tara and she agreed that it is time if its cost effective enough... Well its working out that way, so hopefully by christmas I'll be up on a solid in the front...

So its the begining of the end for that crappy IFS front on my 96...

It sure is!:)

"If you have completed a solid axle swap on your Explorer and would like to share the results with others this is the place to do it:D This isn't the place to talk about a work in progress, rather a place for the FINAL results, specs, instructions etc"
