the best option for a new cd deck

hello all, im loooking to get a new repacement for my factory cd deck. in you opinion what would be the best option for looks (being its a doubble wide) and performance. i would love to just keep the damn factory one in there but the faucker has no line outs on it and line out converters do not sound great.

i cant find anything i like in any of the stores ive been too. is there a wiriing kit that will still make the back seat controler work with a new deck? and if not is there somthing i could put in its place when i replace the factory deck seeing how it will be function less.

does the Pioneer™ six-disc in-dash CD player have line outs in the back? where can i go to find it?

Everybody will tell you something different, but I say go to Circuit City and tell them exactly what you want in your HeadUnit and have them guide you in the right direction. Circuit City has the best customer service of any store I have ever been too and they have never tried to jip me with over priced electronics.

EDIT: Forgot to tell you that I have a JVC headunit and Infinity 5x7's.

Crutchfield probably has the largest selection of HU's and their tech guys/sales reps are first rate. I personally know alot of the people that you would talk to and they should be able to help you out. Don't think there's anyway to get the rear controls to work, but you could just buy a deck with wireless remote and have that sitting in the back of the truck. I've always been turned away from Circuit City b/c whenever I've gone in there, i've talked to some 16 year old who only cares about BASS! Just my 0.02 (and yes, I am still biased, eventhough I no longer work for Crutchfield)

My suggestion on a new deck is an Eclipse. You probably haven't seen them in any of the stores you have been to. Circuit City and Best Buy don't sell them. Your best bet would be to just get a single DIN and get a nice dash kit. I've never seen any decent double DIN CD players, but that's just my opinion. You can buy an adapter to make your rear controls work. I think it costs around $100. Unless you have a lot of rear seat passengers(I don't), it's not worth the money.

I'm currently into Pioneer HUs. I have the single CD/MP3/XM HU and like it very much. The remote is very small and would be great for the backseat passengers to use. It has 3 pairs of RCA outs.

Here is the link to PAC wich makes the stearing wheel/backseat controls for after market head units. PAC I think they require certain remote capabilities so read it before you buy a new HU. I never heard anyone that has used one yet.
