The Busy Wild, at it's finest

Joe, do you think we'll get spots if we're there by noon Friday?

With the 4th on a Wednesday it may not be as crowded as I first thought
Give Nancy Barker a call at 253-312-4301 as see if you can make reservations for yourselves, if not find out if it is Ok to camp outside of the campgrounds there is a half dozen or so areas up there that you can pull off to the side and set up camp if the campgrounds are full.

and those who are going to be going on the trail (Busywild) I would advise you to have some sort of sliders on your rig to minimize body damage

If you guys are camping, I'll plan on driving down late Friday night and staying Sat night as well. I just need to redesign and build a new anti-wrap bar after a week of wheelin Tahuya.

I talked with Nancy today she is the DNR person for the Elbe area.
The campgrounds are first come first serve, camping outside the campgrounds is fine wherever you find room, just no open fires you would need to used a camp stove,BBQ etc...

Or if you guys wanted too I have more than enough room for you to set up camp in my back yard withyour campers/trailers and then we could leave for the trail early in the morning it is about a 1 1/2 hour drive from my house which is 10 miles east of I5 exit 71
Just have to behave yourselves I will have my littles one here

Haha, I talked to her too.

Heck, it's an hour and a half from here but I don't have room for Kevin and Ryan.:p:

Any word on open seats, anyone? I'll have Wonder Boy but I'm leaving Motor Mutt home (too dirty for a long haired dog)

If we get there by noon, we might have a decent chance. She said there are 10 tent sites, 5 pull through sites for multiple rigs and an open area or two that a group could set up in.

I have room in my rig for you two:thumbsup:

Take lot of pics!

Man, this thing called life keeps getting in the way.

I don't think we'll get there for camping if we get there at all.

My little brother's father-in-law passed away last Sunday and services are 1pm Friday

We re-fi'd our 2nd mortgage and it looks like signing will be Friday late afternoon. (now to look for a 3rd gen X  or an F150 Crew cab 4x4   before my X passes to the other side too)

I know what you mean about life. I'm not going to be able to make it either, I have to work this sat and sunday I have a funeral to attend (my gf's cousin was in a car accident last sat).

I still plan on attending the weekend of aug 24th though.

I'm still going. I am heading down Friday sometime. As long as I have a place to park my truck and trailer, I'll be camping as the camper sits on the back of the truck anyway :D.

Kevin- Are you going to camp at the campgrounds or would you like to campout at my place?
I plan on leaving my place at 6:45 and to be at the Elbe campgrounds/trailhead by 8:30

Phil- Are you still coming? not camping arriving in the morning?

Thanks for the offer, but I am just going to try and find a place at the campground. I plan on getting there between noon and 2 and am looking forward to just taking some veg time without having to worry about all the work here at home :D
