I have read everything I can find on this forum about this particular code and have a couple of questions. I clear the code then start the vehicle and in about 10 seconds I get the CEL. Check the code and I have the 214 code again. I disconnected the camshaft position sensor and repeated the test. Again after a few seconds the CEL comes on and I have the same code with the KOEO. There are no codes with KOER. Is this normal. The engine runs fine and the fuel economy on the highway is right at 20mpg. I just purchased this a few weeks ago and while trying to fix the fuel gauge issue (always empty) I found the CEL bulb burnt out and replaced it and that is where the story began. Any ideas or advice would be greatly appreciated.

My 94 EB auto rwd also has the 214 code. I'm stumped. My mechanic swapped the PCM with a used one and the 214 code persisted. The used PCM lasted two days before totally failing. So I am back with my original PCM. I need to get this solved because the CEL comes on after about 20 minutes driving and it runs badly when the light comes on. After turning off the engine for a few minutes, it starts up good again with no CEL.

Help!!!

SOLVED!!!!!
My consistent 111 and 214 codes are gone.
I replaced my ECM with a salvaged one and now my EB is running like new.
