Well, I've decided this will be a tough decision...but, I'd thought I'd ask members of the board what your opinion would be on this situation...The problem / truck came with damn good riding cooper 18's and some nice chrome rims...(I do not like most of the chrome rims out there however these really did something for me cause of there design and the fact that there not over extremely bright as most are...The decision / def going to lift the truck with Procomp 3" spindle kit AAL's and shackles wanted to do this to my other one but wreck canceled that...anyway, The Idea!!! Love the rims (go ahead and ride the tires out 40 to 60k then it will be lifted with about 250k on the truck)

Procomp up front 3" spindles

AAL's and Shackles 2.5"-3.0" Rear lift

Leave the 18's

Get 285/65-18's (that equals a 32.6 tall tire) and yes I am 2wd so I do not have to worry about clearing issues...

If I get a lot of no this will not look good I will just sell the rims on ebay when I wear out the tires,,, and if I get a lot of Yes that will be cool then I may actually attempt this in the summer while I'm break from college...

PS...........BTW thanks for all opinions

Have a good 2008!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kyle

Got any pictures of the truck with the rims. If you like the rims, I say go for it. The 18's shouldn't look bad with a 32" almost 33" tire.

here are the rims hunterdan

BTW can anyone tell me if this truck looks like it already has had a TT cause of the 18's it feels like it does when it goes over speed bumps because I had the same sounds after doing to my previous one which had TT and shackles but stock tires and rims

heres a front shot

I like the look you have now. Its hard to tell how it would look with the larger tires. I think it would still look good. It would be different. I still say go for it

if you like the rims go for it. i ran 17's and 33" tall tires on my ranger w/6" lift.

damn that may look close to what i want to do///// do you have any picks of that truck by any chance?

I like the way your truck is...tint does windows out to limo tints....get chrome headlights and chrome tails to match the white paint....about your rims...i dont really think they look good on a explorer they look way to small my man...drop the front a notch or 2 to make the rims look bigger....if i were you i would get rims a lil bigger than those and wider tires to make it look like a mean truck =)/./but over all i like it i give it a 8/10 =)...also get rid of the pin strips make it look clean and mean...you can do that with a blow dryer if they are stickers...im soon going to do that to mine.////i put clear black housing lights and smoked altezza on mine...my rims are off cause of winter time but when i get them back on ill show u wat im talking about...i also dropped it by two notches but i raised it back up cause of snow...but here is what mine looks like

a lot of lifted trucks these days are moving away from 15" wheels and going to 18-20" wheels. 4x4garage magazine did an article about it. I think they will look GREAT!!

Beautiful vehicle! You gonna paint those calipers? It'd look sweet!

If you were referring to my white ex donner thank you for your reply ... and if that question was for me i do not know if i'm going to paint the calipers yet..if I did i would get them powdercoated instead maybe white powdercoat...what do ya think?
