You can't just slop the body filler on and hope for the best. It will crack in no time. Body filler should never be layered more than 1/4 of an inch thick.

Is it legal to make a mold of something that was originally molded by another company? Sure, you cut it up, but the pieces are still their design....

that wouldnt matter, i dont think. not to worry, i bet when Hartman gets done he's gonna say "screw a mold" anyway. :D

and Matt, you cant just pack on a bunch of body filler. it would look great for a few months and then crack and fall off.

This is true on a regular body filler. I think fiberglass body filler should be okay up to half an inch. Although it's gonna be a b*tch to shape it later on.

I'm not talking about filling in huge gaps. Just putting on a thin layer and then sanding it all smooth to fill in any small imperfections.

Hartman, I think you need to donate you paitients to me! I have non!:p

Ok guys, just wanted to update again. Scupting the corners is not easy, but I have most of the glass work done. I changed my mind again, and I am not going to mold the pan to the splashguards. It just isn't feasable because the glass does not like to stick to the plastic material. So, they will be seperate, but I can still make it look good. The toughest part for me right now is getting everything smooth. After I get the corner how I like it, I'm going to make a mold of it and start doing the other corner, so that the two corners will be almost exactly the same shape.

Again, I'm going to get everything as smooth as possible, and then let the painter do the rest. My plan right now is to have the pan ready for the painter by June 30th. More updates as they become available.

Had to work all weekend as usual. I should have updates throughout the week.

I work at the second busiest carwash in the state of Indiana.

No I work 4-5 days a week. During the week, I usually work 2PM-close shifts, so it allows me to work in the morning before work. I usually work 10AM-7PM shifts on the weekends.

Any happen over the weekend?

Well since my parents are in Cancun for the week, I can work uninterrupted throughout the day. My goal is to have the rollpan off to the painter by the beginning of next week. My parents have my cam so unfortunately I won't have pics until then.

Well make sure to get plenty when they get back:D

Matt.. is your woman out of town or something?? :D
