Started a new topic from my topaz love story LOL........
My story......
Well the legacy began about 2 years ago when a coworker of mine sold me this car for 75 dollars. At the time of purchase the car was running on three cylinders, had a leaking gas tank, all 4 struts were blown leaking fluid, needed new rotors and pads, new windshield and a set of tires. After completely rehauling this POS I drove it from Hyde Park to White Plains, NY for a year straight. If anyone lives in the area you would know that's about an average of 160 miles or so everyday just for work. After two NY winter's worth of beating, the rear passenger floor board was completely gone. I decided to pull the carpet up one day because it felt wet and then I noticed the mass of cancer.
After everything I've put this car through, 3 cylinder driving, blowing a heater hose on Taconic State Parkway and basically overheating for 15 miles, running it out of oil, cutting the springs, bent push rod, broken valve spring, rusted and cracked exhaust manifold, fried CPU and rotted out floor she insists on seeing the future.
Everybody that has ever met my beloved Topaz gives me respect for driving such an inhumane beast but over time, I've come to have quite the friendship. This Topaz will be rounding the 200K mark anytime now. I'm very proud to have seen this car make it for so long.
A tribute post to my Winter Beating POS. I'm sure anyone into cars or trucks can relate when I say you have a friendship with a car in which you just can't part with.
A toast to all those POS' who love their owners........
The usual pose...
Weekends with the topaz consist of:
When you're really bored......Check out the vid.......
