Is that a bumper like original? They look similar. Looks like the damage wasnt that bad, was it? Looks like it just got the fender, bumper, and some grille. Keep us posted on the progress.

The Bumper was pushed into the Tire. Yes that is a factory style Navajo Bumper. The Pastic innner fender was rubbing on the tire also (Gerald Sawzalled it). So far I have bought about $700.00 in Parts. I am Hopeing for no hidden damage. We will see Sunday when I install the new parts.

No, it was Micheal's Sawzall... Gerald just likes to use them... :) And yes, Micheal carries a sawzall on the Trail.

Because sawzall is your friend..:D

Well Kris, hopefully the rebuild goes well. I think it looks all cosmetic except for that area around the light. Do both headlights still work?

The Head lights work but the inner Grill is broken and that is what the head lights mount to. I ordered the inner grill new cause the one from the Explorer is different than the Navajo. The inner grill cost $300.00 . I am Going to salvage what is left of the passenger side head light till I can afford a new one.

Todays progress.

I would have gotten farther but I did not have all my parts.

The New Fender is on... Sawzall was not my friend today... Today my friend was a big Hammer.

BFH

there is nothing a hammer can not fix, sorry to hear about the navajo, hope the rebuild comes out good!

I love hammers too... It is not every day you take a 4 pound hammer to your Car to make it look better.

Glad to hear everything is working out for you! My little breakdown at the slabs cost me 650.00 bucks. We have a very expensive hobby let alone the cost to keep them running and lookuing good! Good luck Kris.

The only good thing is that my Navajos body is looking better. I know there is a bit on damage that I am Hideing(that is where the hammer came in to play). But damn I dont have the $$$ to fix it and mod it. And since I have new plans that came out of this Wreck the Navajo will be better than ever...
I should have all my parts tomorrow.

Body is back together.

Last night I was very bored because I lost all internet connection for 8 hours. I finished all the body work on the Navajo all it needs now is some paint.

Looks good Kris! Is that Jesse's old bumper? You did a good job!

Looks like you have a little body work to do on the hood yet. Don't just leave it and paint the fender. Get it all done and then paint it.
So was it worth doing it yourself? It will make you appreciate your truck a lot more when you do the work yourself.
By the way it looked like there was a LOT of people stopped when you had the wreck. What did it do to the other vehicle??

Wow! I am impressed, very nice work!!

trckmagik, Yes that is Jesse's bumper. It is looking better than it did.

Perry, This happend after the Slabs Run on the way to our camp site. If you look off to the left of the picture you can see trckmagik's Explorer.
Here is more about the run. http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=24502
I am Going it get the hood fixed when they paint the Navajo. Also the this car means a lot to me because I have done 99.9% of the mods on this car myself includeing my 4x4 conversion. Doing them myself makes me more proud of the Navajo compared to some of the brand new SUVs build the day after purchass.

4Wheelin, Thanks

The Navajo goes in for paint on weds. I should have it back on Friday.

Also I fixed the Xlt also. It has a new rear bumper on it. Looks nice.

After doing most of the work my self I do realize that the Navajo would have been totaled if I had full coverage on my car. But it did not so it got fixed and still has a clear title.
