Hello I follow this Ford dealer and Ford tec for a lot of inside information. He warned customers about di engines on these new Ford engines blowing up. He shows how Ford knew that the back 2 cyc on the heads of these eco boat engines clog with burnt oil and fail very early if not maintained. So I feel he's very on spot. Which leads me to today's posting I watched. Our Aerostar transfer case uses dercon2. He tells that Ford stop making this and even though oil companies and he shows the bottle, that says dercon2 comparable in very small print on the back of the bottle it says not for transfer case. Ford has a special transfer case fluid at Ford dealers for this. He has replaced many transfer cases. Has anyone had a case go bad and thought maybe it was the oil. Here's a Ford dealership tec telling everyone. To be fair to all Ford let him go in October because he told customers of a warranty issue that the dealers and Ford knew and was voiding warranties on customers knowing the eco bost engines were failing.
This is just my opinion but I find when a Ford tec says something he might know more than the guy who worked for manny,MOE ,jack.
