Thermostat housing question on a 98 Explorer.

hi all great forum, heard from friends. little question, if you please, on a 98 ford exp. thermostat housing does the one end of pressure hose plug into the hole on the housing piece? Thank you>

the bypass hose goes into the small thing and a big hose to the radiator goes in the big one
