i was driving the other day and stopped for a beverage at the gas station, (no fuel). When i started up she was runing a little rough which has happened before but tap the gas and she would idle up to speed. I hit the gas and it got better so i strated driving and it started sputtering real bad and i put the pedal to the floor and nothing. So i pulled off and tried re starting, nothing. i checked spark was good, fuses where good, inertia switch was good. She would start if you spray starting fluid in the throttle body. I can not here the fuel pump kick on when you turn the key to on, so i think it is the fuel pump. I looked for a thread on changing the fuel pump with pictures but was unsuccessful if anyone knows of one please point me to it. Thanks in advance for your help.

Before I started looking for how to replace the fuel pump, I would make sure it is the fuel pump. It could just as easily be a blown fuel pump fuse (which would be a lot easier/cheaper to change), or a bad relay, or a bad connection somewhere in the fuel pump circuit.

To diagnose this in a systematic fashion, you'll need a wiring diagram and a voltmeter. Start at the battery and work your way down the circuit. Where the voltage drops is where the problem is.

fixed was the fuel pump, easier than i thought it would be.

 Thanks for the follow-up reply!
