Thinking about a 08 or 09. Need opinions

Right now I have a 04 Explorer. I am looking at a silver 09 XLT with 66,265 miles. V6. $16,500. Or a white 08 with just under 88,000 miles with a V8. $13,995. It was government owned. This one is pretty far away so it would be a day trip to go see it.

There are pros and cons to both. I think I would prefer the V8. Both have smaller hitch receiver's. I do pull a trailer with lawn mowing equipment. Could I change receiver's easily or would the smaller one be ok?

On my 04 I have 16 inch rims with Terra Grapplers. 265/70/16. Would these fit on the 08 or 09 without a lift? (no lift for now)

The 09 seems very pricy too much I bought my 06 little over 4 years ago with 52k v6 xlt for $12,000 you might wanna get those prices down

For reference, I got my '06 XLT V8 in October of 2009 for $14k with ~62,300 miles on it.

Government owned could mean it was driven without care, but then again maybe the opposite is true. Whatever you get, just make sure to get it inspected.
