Thinking about new Cragar wheels...

I'll stay clear of the Dunlops then... thanks for the heads up.
I also hit the triples sometimes, just for ***** and giggles. I would never get retreads, I see too many of them rip off of semis and just sit on the side of the highway.

That's because the drivers don't keep proper inflation and they heat up too much and blow. Retreads today are made much better and those that fail are usually operator error.

Still though...idk. I'd have to look into it I guess. But first I've gotta get the right size tires, haha. My stock ones just are too small :(

There's threads about Treadwright's tires. I haven't been able to find anything bad about them online. If you have any interest at all, spend a few minutes researching them. I was skeptical at first but they are a heavy contender for my next tires. Of course, I run 35" mud terrains and not really interested in $1,500 to replace them when the time comes.

Pretty sure treadwrights have a lifetime warranty. Or at least a really good warranty. Good customer service too.

I'll definitely look into them.
Also, I just thought of this, but whats the biggest tire size that fits in the stock spare location? If anyone knows. Cause I'd prefer a full size spare; idk how it'd go with 32"s and then a 29" spare...it'd work, but not the way I want to have to do things if I get a flat.

I think 31" is the biggest the stock area will hold. I might be wrong though, honestly though, throw that bad boy on the roof or make a swing out carrier. I broke my spare tire carrier so I'ma just throw it on the roof. Gives me room for that air compressor anyways :) thanks JD for the idea

If its the same as the STs some guys actually fit 33s with just a little modding. BUT they hang down really low so they throw it on top or inside when they get off the pavement. I think 32s actually fit nut not 100% sure.

X2 on the on board air

I'd rather keep it underneath, cause this will do enough damage to gas mileage. Eventually when I get a mid-size sedan with a 4 banger as my daily, the Ex will end up getting the tire up top and many other fun additions, but until then I'm just going to slowly kill my mpg rather than do it all at once. lol

Oh on the road the low clearance really isnt that low so no worries putting it in the stock location. Mileage is whats keeping me from regearing because right now I'm at the same mpg as I was stock

You use the cargo area? Heepers like to throw em back there

Yeah, I'm not gonna re-gear or go past 32" tires til I have a different car...so like 3-5 years down the road (hopefully, as long as Sport stays alive!). I know my mileage went up some cause I put on a new intake, but only about 1 mpg. I'm thinking of getting a Hensen tune to get a little bit better mileage to counteract the loss from these bigger tires. But I'll have to decide if that's worth the cost of the tuner and the tune itself...it's not cheap :(

And colin, I've got subs back there, so they won't fit, otherwise I'd build a mount (or not) and put it back there.

How big are those subs?!?!

Well, I'm not really worried about mileage, more of I'm worried about killing it too much at one time...it's a mind game I'm playing with myself. See, if I slowly kill the mpg it doesn't seem as bad as if I cause it to drop substantially over a short period of time. So the rims will drop it some, but I feel like doing the rims and the spare up top would just cause it to drop a lot. Also, it gets in the way up there if I want to stack stuff on top after trips to lowes.
And the subs...sorta like this: http://carphotos.cardomain.com/ride_images/3/1090/1341/27723170006_large.jpg

Theres enough room for a spare in the back, and what are you putting on the roof? :D I've never put a 2x4 on the roof, nor seen it done. Then again, my sub is just 1 10" off to the side. Didn't lose much cargo area

Not in my cargo area, trust me. It'd fit, but it'd block my view a lot. I've got 2 12"s and the box is rather large.
And my dad and I are pretty handy around the house, and I carry stuff a lot, like wood for the fence that we're building, or for my little sister's play set that we just finished. So until I move out (sometime before I'm 20...I turn 18 in a month) I'm gonna leave it so that I can carry stuff when needed.
