Installed a chrome grill gaurd this afternoon. May or may not work as deer proofing? Either way looks decent, I believe. Gonna have to take It off, or at least back loose to put on the air dam. Which I will get another one from salvage to cut for clearance. Don't want to hack the original piece. Not sure how it would handle a deer collision but hope I will not find out. They seem to materialize right in front of you without warning. I plan to do the 2" lift so it will look more appropriate at that point. Thanks ya'll.

imo its better than nothin! which brand? some like the waag is amazing, but mainly they look sick

Actually not sure of the brand. I see the same one being sold under different names, box just had stock numbers on it. And yeah after up close meetings with 4 or 5 deer in other vehicles, i hope it's better than nothing. I will keep it for a while and my upgrade later. The lift will be coming soon, at least that's my plan.

Yeah can't hurt. Deer damage depends largely on speed. Although there are deer around here year round, it's in fall when they are trying to find food to fatten up for winter, that I see them journeying out onto roadways the most. Result is I drive certain roads slower in fall.

Here in FL deer don't grow so big as other states. They just are out year round. With only 2 roads in and out my options are limited, night driving is definitely done at a slower pace. Damage mostly limited to dented fenders, pushed in bumpers and cracked grilles, headlights. I have seen alot worse on occasion, however.

yeah they provide protection especially against the small ones. imo even better is a bumper like that made by rockranger ;) nice solid steel, but all in good time!!! the brush guard looks so cool though:cool:

I'll ride with this one for a while as I too think it looks good. The headlights aren't so bright now, so I'll either remove those parts or brighter bulbs/leds. Which I don't want to blind oncoming traffic as I am when I drive my low sitting Civic.
