hey maybe talkin about the l7's. One of the ways you can blow a speaker is not giving it what it deserves. I have never experienced but have heard it many times and people dont want to spend the money for the amp to push thir subs. I have a jl 500 and it pushes about 615 bridged or thats way they say and my jls both get about 250 to 307 and thats around the range their suppose to get. Maybe i am wrong. -TJ

Who's sounds better at 0?

You could at least untangle the ratchet strap.

That is alot of money for that setup. Not saying i have the best system out there but it sounds pretty good I paid 950 for everything and did all my own work. Pioneer deh 6700, pionner 6x8 4 way 240w front and read doors, 14g wiring, dynamat in the doors, rockford fosgate 3200 amp 300w rms bridged , and my newest editon to replace my old sub and box is the power acoustiks fubar 12 rated 800w rms, and 1800w max with dual 4ohm voice coils in a single port q-logic box that can be set up to be sealed.

It pumps just as hard as my friends dual mtx setup pushing 600w continuous powerd by his power acoustiks amp. If you look around and dont impulse by you can come up with a good system at not such an expensive price.

I have some 5x7's in my doors that will own all of you.

Seriously, I love how everyone here thinks they have the biggest, baddest, loudest system. Every audio thread turns into a *****fest with everyone trying to prove to everyone else that theirs is better. Shutup and go listen to your damn system.

well actually 3 grand for everything, i also have an xbox witch need a converter for it and i need a brain for the EVA-1014 or something like that. The speakers i have in there are alpine type-r and i also had my amp stolen witch was a MRV-450 but one some one broke in my house and stold it in the box never been used. I also have two alpine type r 10`s that are going under the back seats. Yes i gotta admit i over exaggerated but the box is only temp. The guy that is doing the fiberglass box is in flordia with his mom but he will be coming back in bout 2 weeks. he also going to do my sidepanels and redo my doors so i can put tweeters. When im done i will let you guys see. this is not the finish product and probly take about month or two becuase im busy working and he is too...he does audio for a living but he isnt charging me cause were good friends and im helping him out.

Can you get any pics of the 10's under the seats?

Wow!!! $3000!! I went the 'inexpensive' route and purchase 2 new DD 3512s I'm giving them each 600 watts and 4 Infinity Kappa 5x7s powering the fronts with 100 watts per side...then got a touchscreen flipout DVD with 5.1 digital surround (and the center channel)...navigation system and Sirius satellite radio...and that hasn't even cost me $3000 yet (close...but not quite).

I feel blessed...

You're putting 10's under the seats? Have you test fitted them yet? I want 10's but do NOT want to give up my cargo room and thought of putting them under the seats but didn't know if they would fit. Wait, you have a 3rd gen. Might be a bit more room under those seats.

You'd only lose like, 2 cubic feet of your cargo space at the most with a pair of 10''s and an amp in the cargo den. Putting boxes under your seats wouldnt allow you to fold them down, which loses like, 10+ cubic feet of availale cargo space. It seems to me you should just put a speaker where its most useful I guess.

I agree 100% that should put it where it fits best. I had forgotten about not being able to fold down the seats. I really want 2 10's, but if I went with 1 10 then i could put it in the cargo pocker and use up practically zero space.

yes you could but you are limited to just a few models that will work decently in that small area. You'll need a speaker that requires very little enclosure volume, which isn't going to move alot of air. Small setup tho, definitely wont keep up with 'those 5 by 7s that own me'...
