I remember reading somewhere about a relatively simple mod I could do on my TB to get a little more power. I guess the gasket has teeth on it that I either have to remove; or just replace the gasket all together? :dunno: And what is the deal with TB spacers? My K&N intake should be here in a couple days, so I'm looking to get the most out of it when I install it... Does anyone know where to find how-to's or have any input? Thanks!

G'day mate. The throttle body mod wont give you any more power, it does reduce throttle lag tho'. Either file down the teeth on your factory gasket or buy a felpro 61050 gasket and replace with that using the factory washer's from your old gasket to keep the seal nice and tight. I haven't read a single post that say's throttle body spacer's give 3rd gen's more power. I have one in my centre console just hanging around which I might put on soon just to see for myself, so I can't comment yay or nay.

For more info/opinion's do a search on throttle body spacer and throttle body mod. Hope this help's.

Thanks for the input. I did a quick search for those and didn't come up with much... I think I'll just file down the teeth on mine and see what it does... Thanks again!

Where is it? Is it under the TB? If so then this is going to be a real painintheass....

FU** :banghead: Thats what I get for not doing my homework. I don't have a TB like that.... Damn me and my V8! Any other inputs while I have the whole damn thing taken apart?

Yeah, among others... Turns out the V8 throttle body doesn't have the same configuration as the V6. So...... I took apart the entire TB assembly for nothing. Quick question for you on another topic though, do you like your Magnaflow exhaust? I'm shopping for one now and am trying to get opinions of guys like you who actually know what they're talking about....

Well I don't know if I actually know what I'm talking about hahaha but I'm pretty happy with mine. Being a V6 made it difficult to acheive a similar sound to a V8 which is bloody impossible but didn't stop me from trying. You have alot of option's available to you for a good sounding muffler, magnaflow are a free flowing muffler that will give you a couple of extra ponies and a nice note, flowmaster give a great sound but are baffled so you won't gain much power, but there is also gibson, coffin (love the shape) and a wealth of other big name manufacture's as well as smaller (usually more pricier) companies. Everyone has their own personal favorite's and opinion's, I like mine but go through youtube muffler sound clip's for your gen 4.6lt and get ready to hear the seatbelt chime a hell of alot!!!!!!!
