Chris do you plan on running an intake ?????

as i was reading through it " not gauranteed to fit aftermarket intakes, designed for factory. "

IMO i would try to find one that is compatable with an intake, unless you dont plan on changing the factory intake...

I wouldn't waste my money on a TB spacer. There are threads on here that say they are not worth it.

I have one and can't remember noticing any difference. I have a mate who has one on the 5.4 and swears by it.

A lot of ppl who run TB Spacers on the 5.4L swear by it; specifically a lot of F-150 guys. Haven't heard anything good about them for the 4.6L though.

are TB more purpose built for larger displacement engines to see any noticeable gains ???? or are they supposed to be for any engine ????

They are supposed to be for any engine; the idea is that they lengthen the inlet a bit, but they also have a helix or swirl effect which is supposed to speed up the air flow. Greater velocity of air is supposed to help the air mix with the fule better and yield more torque and power. Maybe because both the 5.4 and 4.6 run a 3" intake, it has more effect on the 5.4 but on the 4.6, the 3" intake is already optimal. Who knows? Whatever the case it doesn't seem to do much, but it doesn't hurt either, and if you get an anodised one, they look great, and we all know that's worth 10hp alone.

i had a tb spacer on my truck(4.6) and didnt see enough difference to keep it. just returned it and said i wasnt happy. from a stop you feel a little difference thats about it. but i am gonna look for a bigger tb soon. i was told it makes a huge difference but idk
