throttle body spacer

was wondering about this.....i have a 1999 explorer with a sohc v6.....considered getting a bigger throttle body....also i thought about installing a throttle body spacer from airaid....has anyone done this and has anyone been able to tell much difference from the stock setup

There have been many discussions here about the possible benefits of using a throttle body spacer and the general consensus is that it doesn't make enough of a difference to warrant the $ and time and labor involved.

I understand how a spacer might help a carburetor engine, but I have never understood how it would help a port fuel injected engine. I don't think it would make any difference what-so-ever.
