1998 Explorer limited 4x4
Hello everyone, I have a 1998 Ford Explorer limited 4x4 and every time I turn left there’s this thump thump thump sound like something is hitting the body, can anyone help with this or has experienced this type of problem? I had it jacked up and saw nothing loose. Thanks for your time everyone

Ditto, have the front suspension inspected well, it's probably time for some work on it.

Check CV axles. They usually pop rapidly in tight turns.

First guess would be upper left ball joint, second, the rest of the front suspension.

Okay, I'll guess the lower left BJ.

If it were a few weeks from now in the midwest, I'd guess he's getting pummeled by cicadas that disregard traffic signals. 17 year olds are well known to get in more than their share of accidents. ;) Heh, 34 years ago I was a pizza delivery driver during that, in a Ford Escort Pony with no A/C no less, so windows up or down was always carefully considered. Fun times.
