I seem to of developed a ticking noise, it goes up an down with revs but I can't hear it from outside with the bonnet open so don't think it's the engine.

have to admit to not having a clue when it comes to mechanics, managed to do the oom12 tensioner last weekend due to this forum so hoping somebody can give me a clue with the ticking.

cheers,

Graham.

I would think it is probably one of your injectors. When I switch over to gas I get a ticking from one of my gas injectors, but nothing from the petrol ones. Difficult to hear with the bonnet open - somehow the sound is concentrated more when inside the cab.

Hmm tough one mate- as a guess and knowing your height above sea level- I would say its maybe your pressure relief valve for the side conduit leading to the aft array dissipator.
If not that.......have you lost your wrist watch mate?

LOl!!

H, just wish I had the time to tell you about my aft array dissipator (the left handed one I fitted to replace the old one).

Yes I know the left hand one is always a problem owing to the compensation valves and the balance phaser vents......you would have thought Ford would have had a recall on that by now eh?
I think Si had a problem like this....he discribed it as a swollen left one! Is that the same thing?

LOL!!!

Now you mention balance phaser vents, you may well have the answer to Si's problem of a swollen left one. I would have said it all depends on which angle his phaser is set at, and whether he is looking at it from the front or back.

I'll certainly check my aft array dissipator for my wrist watch as suggested as it occurs to me that it could well be the problem. If I find any swelling should I stick it with a screwdriver to relieve access pressure???

should I stick it with a screwdriver to relieve access pressure???

Careful, mate, you can get a really nasty blow-back if you do that.
