All of a sudden, my 03 now makes a "Ticking" sound from the passenger's side front wheel when in a slow, very tight turn, with the steering wheel turned completely to the left position, or close to it - any thoughts on what that might be?

I know I am very close to needing a front brake job - anything related there do you think?

CV Joint

sounds like a CV joint is bad. the sounds travels down the axel so could be coming from a bad one on driver side. look underneath at the boots for cracks. you will need to replace lub and boot if it is repairable or replace joint altogether.

I have forgotten which joint sound indicates which one. when turning or driving straight, it would be either inside joint or outside. check all 4 of them. common problem with boots especially in hot dusty area where stuff can damage the boots. they wear out after time.
