Time for a coolant flush .........

At 152,000, its more than time ............... 2001 XLT V-6 4x4 SOHC

Just curious: Is more coolant required since my Explorer has a tranny cooler ?

I did not see anything in the owner's manual related to needing 'more'. Or do all 2001 Explorers have a tranny cooler ?

no. no coolant goes through the trans. the trans cooler has nothing to do with radiator/engine coolant.

That makes total sense. I feel like a fool for thinking the coolant somehow was used to cool the tranny.
