Im in the market for a new 12 inch sub, its gonna be powered by my jbl 1200.1, the box i have is the qlogic 1.75 cu ft sealed or ported, im looking for a sub that can handle at least 1000 watts rms for under 400 dollars, i was looking at either the mtx 9500 dvc 12, or the orion h2 12.4, any opinions or other suggestions would be great, thanks for the help

no point in asking me- lol

1.75 will be good for the 9500 too. Also i know it can be at your door for that price

Ma audio x2 12" 400oz mag, carbon fiber cone/dustcap.... $329 shipped from a dealer I know. More for spl though.

yea i was waiting to see how long it would take for u to reply, i think thats the route i'll end up taking too, cuz ive heard nothing but fantastic things about the 9500s, im definitely leaning towards mtx for sure

if the 9500 is to much i thinkull be happy with the 8500 series

i havent heard anything about the 8500s, but i figure if im gonna spend this much money on a single sub, and i am kinda on a budget, i wanna get something that i wont regret buying 4 months down the line like my audiobahn right now

does anyone no anything about the orion h2's

Adire Audio Brahma 12", $379... takes up to 1600w. Great sealed box manners, which is the route you should take with 1.75 cu ft and no SSF on the JBL. Also with XBL^2, I guarantee the Brahma will hit lower than the 9500 too, which is really just another short gap long coil woofer.

yea i heard a lot about brahmas too, but i thought they were mainly just all out spl, im all for spl, but i want something that can have a little bit of sq in it too, but yea the brahma was another one i was considering, and yea does anyone know anything about the orions, cuz i havent heard anything

Now way! Who ever told you the brahma is for all out SPL is crazy. The Brahma is an excellent sounding woofer, with an awsome BL curve because of their XBL^2 design. The Brahma is actually a more SQ focused woofer, the more SQL biased version of the Brahma is the Resonant Engineering x.., which still sounds cleaner than almost all the big names except for top of the line Eclipse, Orion, etc.

oooo ok, well then its down to the brahma and the 9500 based on the responses here, thanks for everyones input, and anymore on the subject would be great, still wanna see if anyone has used orion h2s

tack another vote on the brahma... or maybe one of EDs subs :D

i vote for 9500 or x.. as usual

maybe i already said that on this thread, don't remember, but i'll take an extra post if so
