time to replace tires- need suggestions

I have 40,000 miles on my 22 Explorer. The tires don't have long to go, which is disappointing since my previous Explorer ( 2014) came with Michelins, I think, and I got 70,000 out of the first set. Any suggestions?

Depends on where you drive, whether you need any level of off-road traction, or winter traction (or else would swap in winter tires if your climate dictates the benefit in doing so) , or just want a smooth rolling touring tire with longest life, or LT tires for hauling loads, or something with high grip to drive like you robbed a bank. There is not one model of tire that is best at all of that.

I'm considering either Michelin Pilot Sport All Season or Pirelli Scorpion Zero (no PNCS) as replacements for my '20 ST. We don't have snow or consistently cold weather. The Michelin get better reviews but cost about $75 more per tire.

We had the factory Primacy's. At 50k there were done. We just put Bridgestone Alenza A/S Ultras on. Major improvement in ride quality and handling and they are also quieter on the highway running north of 80mph. We have a '21 Limited 4x4 with the 20" polished wheels.
