Hi arnie,I think you also need a special tool to do the timing ,I had mine done by explorer parts front and rear recently £1000 big ones or £650 front only,I think they got em as a kit from ford -chains sprockets and tensioners. not cheap

i brought this oilway restrictor valve for my explorer (ebay item number) 320242665874 and it works a treat ........it designed to retain the oil in the tensioner, to allow the tensioner to work correctly from start up.
