Well I understand Howard is having his done this weekend- I have to have mine done also...as the rattle has started again!
I can hardly wait to have an Ex that I can hammer and not be worried about the chains giving out!
My baby will be fixed and well.....no more old age problems- shame about me tho!

sorry to hear h,i dont suppose you have a recording of the sound it makes by any chance and is it constant as i have always had a noise which is intermitant and goes away fairly quick which hasnt got any worse since i bought it a year ago ? rich

Sorry mate, I don't - but some people report a rattle on start up(
,( for those who remember Adjusting tappets, it's like a few very slack ones! This noise returns at 2-2500 revs then goes Again! You can find recordings on you tube- type in, explorer timing chains. Hope yours is ok mate!

Thanks mate- but please getr her done asap. least do the oom12 and rear tensioner, that lasted me a yearish! Now I am thinking.....I cant risk it mush further!
