well for one thing i dont have the time to do the tip of the day so for now it will be tip of the week, sorry but it is summer and lots of fishing to do and hills to climb.

tip on batteries when you are a off roader just keeping your things in place is a hassel if it is not bolted down it will be all over the truck or under your feet while you are tring to drive so securing your things down or away so they dont end up everywhere is a must.

the same for things under your hood like your battery, if you dont bolt it down you will have problems when off road and even having it a little loose will give you problems too because the battery will shift and move till it rubs a hole in the case.

one make sure the cables are clamped on good if the clamp is bad replace it, i know we all are guilty of forcing the clamp on cause the bolt is stripped or just stuck and we pay for it later on when we cant get it to get good connection out where we really dont need be stuck without a battery.

having a bad connection will effect the way the battery takes a charge also and its going to take the toll on the battery till it is not going to take a full charge,

two make sure the pan or platform that the battery sets on is clean, bolt the battery down tight, then install the cables, postive first then the ground [ps dont smoke while arround the battery vapors are explosive that come from the battery] and using something like a non crossive spray on the termals is not a bad idea then you are ready to go.

hope this helps someone thank you
